This large-scale anniversary project presents a retrospective of the development of civil aviation, its current state, and future prospects. The exposition occupies the first floor of the former Pulkovo-2 international airport terminal, with an area of over 15,000 sq.m.
Architectural solutions and graphic structure emphasize the technological functionality of the space. The exhibition consists of four sections: historical, technical, ideological, and biographical. Each section has its own spatial organization and methods for creating a cohesive image and meaning.
The historical section features display complexes and historical artifacts, audiovisual works, and graphic elements.
Engines and components that equipped operational airplanes and helicopters dominate the technical section.
The ideological section presents the project of the National Museum of Civil Aviation.
The artistic concept of the biographical section creates a memorial atmosphere honoring aviation heroes.
