Project
27 sq.m Apartment Renovation

Category
Best Implemented Apartment / Private House Interior Design Project

About the project (provided by the applicant)
The 27 sq.m apartment in Chistye Prudy, in a building from 1900, was dark and neglected when we first saw it — it hadn’t been renovated for over 40 years. A narrow hallway, blank walls, no natural light.

The project was designed as an investment, with the goal of expanding the space and filling it with air. We removed the gas connection, combined the kitchen and living area, and created an entrance through the kitchen. The round window became both a light source and a design focal point. The color palette was inspired by a BOY dresser: black-and-white Chanel contrast, with deep blue inside the cabinets.

The interior combines custom-made pieces, antique finds, and lamps brought from Krasnoyarsk and Sochi. Concrete trays absorb light, and the kitchen became an art object. The space feels larger than its actual size — visitors often can’t believe it’s only 27 sq.m. One of the most enjoyable parts of the project was sourcing items via Avito: every trip became a meeting with people and their stories.
