About the project (provided by the applicant)
This project, located in the heart of downtown Toronto, replaces a house that had stood for over a century. The land is only 4.80 meters wide, with a building width of 4.30 meters after accounting for the westward setback. The three-story building, along with a basement, is designed for a single family. The basement has a separate entrance, allowing it to function as a rental unit or be used according to the owner’s needs, and includes one bedroom. The first floor of the main unit features the living room, kitchen, dining area, and a toilet. The second floor provides three bedrooms and one bathroom, while the third floor offers the master bedroom with a closet, bathroom, and balcony. Despite the narrow width, the design incorporates two separate units: one with four bedrooms and two bathrooms, and another with one bedroom and one bathroom. The exterior blends a modern aesthetic with the character of the neighborhood, and the project is now in its final stage of construction.
