About the project (provided by the applicant)
The café is located in a historic building of the Gostiny Dvor, known since 1813 as the «gluttonous rows.» Its vaulted ceilings reminded the designers of the arcades of Bologna. The concept of the project was to merge the image of a typical Italian café with the cultural code of a small merchant town. The goal was to make the interior visually delicious and appetizing, evoking associations with bread, cane sugar, and the caramelized crust of crème brûlée. The central accent of the interior is a massive chandelier with wooden beads, combining solidity with festivity. The café occupies an area of 130 sq. m.
