Modern Arabic Art Museum

Best Architectural Design for Museum

About the project
The author didn’t want this building to be just an art repository — he wanted it to become an art object in itself. The visitors won’t just move from one exhibit to another, but will follow a certain plot, enjoying both the art and the spirit of the Museum. On the exterior, the building will be a dome roofing the art objects exhibition. The dome will embrace skylights resembling Arab towers and rising towards the center of the museum in a step-like manner and illuminating three above-the-ground levels. Stairs rising towards the dome resemble some sophisticated Arab patterns in plan.
