About the project (provided by the applicant)
The main technological consideration was to use the existing post-and-beam structure of the historic building, including a series of marble columns, as support. The contrasting solution was implemented in the form of canvases on cable stays with counterweights. The exhibition creates an impression of lightness and transparency. The visual focus is directed toward the media screen. The mass of structures and illuminated panels is minimized to counterbalance the heavy and massive Marble Hall. This embodies high-tech design grounded in classical architecture.
