Best Restoration or Reconstruction Project by Student

About the project (provided by the applicant)
The project focuses on the mansion of M. V. Gotovitsky, an early 20th-century building constructed in the Neoclassical style. Currently in poor condition, the mansion requires restoration.
The proposal for the preservation and adaptation of the mansion into a modern Small Museum of Architecture in Saratov was developed by 5th-year students of the Department of Architecture at Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov (SSTU). As part of their work, students carried out pre-design and comprehensive scientific research, which formed the basis for the reconstruction and adaptation concept.
The project proposes to restore the building’s façades, improve the courtyard, create an “Avenue of Lost Architectural Landmarks” of the city, and develop a VR space for the digital reconstruction of lost monuments. Exhibition spaces and cultural events are also planned. This project combines urban, social, and cultural-educational objectives, bringing historical monuments back into the cultural life of the city.
