Project
Architectural Concept of an Art Museum

About the project (provided by the applicant)
The project represents not just a museum, but an architectural metaphor of a dialogue between eras. Visitors are invited not merely to view exhibits, but to embark on a journey through time — from the fast pace of modern China to the contemplative depth of its ancient soul.
The route begins in a minimalist glass-and-concrete volume, where lines are dynamic and the space is filled with light. From here, the heart of the composition becomes visible — a historic pagoda, which serves as the final destination of the journey.
A connecting element is the “Path of Time” — a gradually narrowing and descending passage into semi-darkness. Materials underfoot transition from polished concrete to rough stone and aged wood, the light becomes subdued, and city noise fades. This physical and emotional transition prepares visitors to experience ancient art in the authentic atmosphere of the pagoda, where time seems to stand still.
This is architecture as an experience, where the space itself becomes the primary exhibit, telling the story of the continuity of history.
