Located on the Rostov embankment, the site features the federal architectural monument “Paramonov Warehouses.” The historical brick architecture of the warehouses establishes a distinctive design code for all new structures. For the ARTEFACT residential complex, we proposed applying this approach: using “royal bricks” salvaged from dismantled century-old walls, combined with modern glossy emerald-toned bricks with recessed seams on the façades, creating a successful example of new architecture in a historical context.
Between the three buildings are internal courtyards. The main entrance to the courtyard faces the front façade, where a single-story structure with curved molded glass houses a unified reception area for residents and guests. The landscape design of the courtyards is enriched with numerous features: a natural waterfall, outdoor fireplace, modern canopies, and large potted trees. Building A is “Air,” Building B is “Water,” and Building C is “Earth,” each with 7 floors and 17 apartments.
