Positioned at the threshold of Quzhou’s emerging High-Speed New Town, Ascension transforms transit networks into a civic landmark connecting city, nature & people. Two ascending towers rise from a shared plinth, forming a symbolic gateway & vibrant public space that invites gathering & exchange. Translating connective systems into sculptural form, envisioning the towers as reflective, extruded forms of rail tracks that echo traditional roofing; lightweight lower floors accommodate public activity & flexible use, while upper volumes ascend sculpturally, featuring layered living façades that link city & nature, work & life to the sky. Integrated with the City Garden Corridor, the gateway offers visual & physical connections to surrounding plots & Wenli Lake, fostering continuity between city & landscape. Ascension: Hyperlinked becomes both departure & arrival — a point where infrastructure, culture, & environment converge, shaping identity, resilience, & the evolving spirit of the city.
