The research subject is a complex of gunpowder warehouse buildings (early 18th to early 20th century) located in Astrakhan. The construction of these warehouses is connected to the visit of Russian Emperor Peter I to the city.
The historical and cultural complex is designed as a modern multi-level public space incorporating cultural heritage sites. The proposed concept not only restores this forgotten area to the city but also breathes new life into it.
