Creative Library Public Space “Azart”
Category
Best Implemented Interior Design Project for Public Space
About the project (provided by the applicant)
The new creative library space “Azart” offers more than just books. It is a place for new acquaintances, new knowledge, and new achievements, where history and modernity intertwine. “Azart” reflects the history of one of St. Petersburg’s largest confectionery factories and serves as a cultural cluster of the city—a trendy spot to immerse oneself in knowledge, intellectual leisure, and vibrant experiences.
In cozy and atmospheric lounge areas, visitors can enjoy their time while escaping the bustle of the city. The space provides a wide range of services, allowing visitors not only to explore the world of books but also to learn about the history of this unique location. With modern multimedia equipment, visitors can travel back in time to the site of St. Petersburg’s first confectionery factory, founded by Georg Landrin, see how the factory operated in the past, and learn about “landrinki” sweets.
