Best Implemented Apartment / Private House Interior Design Project

About the project
Transformation of a 40 m2 apartment on the third floor of a 1970s building.
The building's entrance is impressive and designed in the spirit of the 1970s, with large mirrors, wood panels on the walls, an artistic ceiling, and handcrafted lighting. On the other hand, when one stepped inside the apartment one was met with a lot of doors and partition walls. The apartment looked very ordinary with no distinguishing features.
The '70s was the decade with the best style. This was the inspiration for the main concept.
My general concept revolved around three themes:
1. The open plan and large windows were in vogue at this time.
2. Artistically expressing radicalism and experimenting with geometric design and pop art.
3. The functional interior.

Applicant and author of the project
Koray Korkmaz Sàrl
«I am an architect and designer interested in creating contemporary and experimental interiors and objects for spaces for people to live, work, and have fun. I love to combine textures, colors, shapes, and visual movement in every piece I design.
While contemporary in concept, my interior, and product design has an old-world charm. I believe Interiors designed with traditional materials and fine workmanship techniques will play a vital role in providing balance in our environment.»
