Beauty of Function

Best Implemented Project of Private Residence
About the project (provided by the applicant)
In this understated European-style residence, every detail considers functional aspects, and each material is thoughtfully used, emphasizing the project’s minimalist and well-considered aesthetic.
Facade materials—black brick, gray plaster, and corten steel—were chosen for their simplicity and durability. Corten, known as “eternal” steel, serves as an accent.
The transition between the facade and interior finishes is seamless: like the exterior plaster, the interior walls are finished in a light gray shade. Black matte wooden furniture echoes the color of the brick. The landscape, adorned with pines, is divided by three steps between the untouched forest and a landscaped area. A corten retaining wall visually unites the architecture and landscape.
The project applies cantilever techniques: the roof overhang extends more than three meters above the terrace. The interior staircase uses protruding steps, adding lightness to the structure.
