River Terminal with Waterfront Reconstruction

About the project (provided by the applicant)
The project is developed with symbolism in mind, specifically the coat of arms of Belgrade. The coat of arms includes the gates of the Kalemegdan Fortress, two rivers — the Sava and the Danube, and a ship. All of this is directly connected to the project’s concept: the main arch of the building symbolizes the gates, the shape of the structure resembles a ship, and the sharp angles reflect the character of the Serbian people — “If a Serbian becomes stubborn, he will definitely achieve his goal and be persistent.”
The project includes an internal gallery that ensures convenient movement and interaction between spaces. Construction is allowed no closer than 15 meters from the shoreline.
The bridge height is 10 meters and it is non-opening. The Kalemegdan Fortress is a dominant landmark at 125 meters tall. The width of the Danube at this section is 850 meters. The project also features an underground parking lot, which preserves the visual scale of the city and maintains the harmony of the urban environment.
