About the project (provided by the applicant)
Biophilic design aims to have a positive impact on human psychology, reducing stress and helping to alleviate mental fatigue. Beyond the need for nature, the benefits to human health and psychology underpin the use of nature-based design models in interior design. The experience a space provides its users is the primary characteristic that distinguishes biophilic design from other nature-based design concepts. Biophilic design focuses on creating strong connections between nature and human-made environments for health. Some of its most significant benefits include reducing stress and anxiety, enhancing cognitive and sensory vitality, establishing a connection with nature, being environmentally friendly, and fostering a sustainable approach. Biophilic phenomena, for this design, refer to the design of a building to better suit its surroundings. These include images of nature, natural materials, natural colors, natural light and air simulation, and the evocation of nature.
