Box Flow SPA

About the project (provided by the applicant)
Given the project's proximity to the sea, the architectural design aims to engage with the ocean as though part of the seawater flows into the structure itself. The form is inspired by the force and rhythm of the waves—capturing the natural, fluid motion of the sea within a built environment.
To achieve a more refined and coherent architectural expression—both in exterior aesthetics and interior spatial organization—the initial massing was optimized and structured through geometric principles. This process resulted in a form that balances functionality with expressive movement.
The concept metaphorically draws on the human body before and after a spa experience. The initial rigid, rectangular volume represents the tension and stiffness of the body prior to relaxation. As it encounters the calming influence of the ocean, the form becomes softer, more fluid—mirroring the transformative effects of a spa on both body and mind.
