Best Implemented Apartment / Private House Interior Design Project
About the project (provided by the applicant)
Brisa House is an example of contemporary architecture that combines refined aesthetics, innovation, and ergonomics in harmony with its surroundings. When commissioning the project, the client requested a unique design, with no great heights, where nature could reign without visual barriers. The entire development followed this commitment to let the forest and the sea become the true protagonists, framed as an essential part of the work of art through interior design. The house merges the symbolic strength of natural materials with time-resistant technologies, ensuring durability and easy maintenance. Bespoke pieces reinforce this vision, such as the Equilíbrio table, 5m long and supported by a single leg. Also noteworthy is the illuminated 8m tensile canopy, which during the day creates shifting plays of light and shadow with the trees, and at night glows to generate a relaxing atmosphere. Sustainability reaffirms this commitment, consolidating the symbiosis between design and nature.

Flavio Castro had the opportunity to start designing and building early, at just 20 years old. He believes that practical experience complements academic theory and has always worked in both areas, gaining experience in architecture offices in Brazil and abroad. After three years of a master’s degree in Barcelona, he returned to Brazil and settled in São Paulo, founding FCstudio in 2014.
