About the project (provided by the applicant)
The 40 sq.m kitchen-living room interior was designed to reflect the clients’ love for the sky, flying, open space, and clouds. The inspiration for the design came from the designers’ own flight experience in a business jet cabin.
The concept is extremely concise. The kitchen extends from floor to ceiling, merging seamlessly with the wall, while the central island is shaped like an airplane wing, topped with custom-designed cloud-shaped lights. Rounded forms ensure safety, which is especially important for a small child.
The sofa, also custom-made, allows for sitting, lying down, playing board games, or creating a romantic atmosphere with candlelight; it can also serve as a bed for overnight guests. Soft wall panels add extra comfort and coziness.

Balka.Studio Architecture and Interior Design Studio has been designing individual residential houses and interiors since 2008. It was founded by the spouses Alexey and Olga Moiseev. Alexey, the studio’s head, graduated in “Construction of Unique Buildings and Structures.” Olga Moiseeva is an architect, designer, and landscape project specialist who honed her design skills in Italy at the prestigious Politecnico di Milano.
