Element of a Residential Group – Café “Delta”

About the project (provided by the applicant)
Café “Delta” is located within a residential group in Pargolovo, Saint Petersburg. The concept is based on three triangles that form the structure of the building. These triangles are manipulated through subtraction and addition within a polygonal grid, creating a dynamic architectural composition. The landscape design reflects these principles, ensuring harmony between the building and its surroundings.
The design process involved a “sculptural” approach to the volume. The main technique is subtraction, which shapes expressive contours. The primary figure — the triangle — is used in the plan and on the facades, emphasizing the unity of the architectural concept.
From the main triangle of the street grid, three smaller triangles of different sizes are extracted, creating a balanced composition. A rectangular prism is added, serving as the utility area and completing the functional volume, providing space for technical needs. This approach combines geometric rigor with practicality, resulting in a unique architectural expression.
