Nomination Best Constructed Public Building or Facility
About the project One of the top bus terminals in Europe has been opened in the eastern part of Moscow. Located at the ground and fifths floors of the Shchelkovsky Shopping Mall, the terminal occupies the area of 5.5 thousand m2. The unique feature of the terminal is that buses access the departure platforms at the 5th floor by a 200-meters-long ramp, equipped with a smart transport flow distribution system. The top storey houses 6 passenger platforms from which long-distance buses depart. At the ground floor, there are 3 platforms or suburban traffic and 4 platforms where long-distance buses arrive. The smooth contours of the building make it resemble a glass ship with a semi-opaque façade, decorated with a nine-meter clock.
