About the project (provided by the applicant)
The Collection Museum is located within the ZILART complex, at the intersection of Bratyev Vesninykh Boulevard and Rodchenko Street. The building is a cubic volume wrapped in a continuous trapezoidal grid pattern, clad externally with copper panels. On the main façade, the copper mesh frames translucent stained-glass sections, while the side and rear façades, with minimal windows, are filled with textured copper panels. Importantly, the copper is untreated, chosen for its ability to change, often unpredictably, which resonates with the function of the museum’s main spaces for exhibiting contemporary art. The first floor is designed as an open public space—30 meters high, clad with copper panels, and featuring escalators painted by four prominent street artists, creating a highly spectacular environment.
