Project
Robotics-Enabled Waste Processing Complex
Category
Best Project of Building or Facility by Student
About the project (provided by the applicant)
The project site is located in the Salaryevo district of Moscow. The designed facility is a universal production module of a waste processing plant, part of a complex of identical modules. This approach allows the module to be replicated and adapted in other districts.
The architectural form of the building is bionic. The main goal was to visually connect the industrial and technological function with natural forms.
The waste processing workflow includes several stages:
- Transporting and shredding waste with rotary excavators onto a conveyor belt
- Primary drying of waste
- Metal separation
- Packaging
- Pyrolysis in furnaces
Processed materials are collected in 1100-liter containers within dedicated internal spaces. Access for specialized vehicles to unload materials is provided from both the west and east sides of the building via designated driveways.
The protruding “ribbon” elements of the building function as filters for exhaust gases. Their elongated design ensures maximum removal of harmful carbon dioxide impurities.
