Project
Reconstruction of the CYBERSTEEL Metallurgical Complex
Category
Best Implemented Reconstruction Project
About the project (provided by the applicant)
As part of the reconstruction of the old Soviet factory complex, a visual identity for the enterprise was developed to align with the new brand and philosophy of CYBERSTEEL.
The main design goals for the façades were to overcome visual monotony and integrate the core elements of the corporate style. Visitors are greeted by three polygonal snow-white portals on the southern façade, featuring complex geometric modules of composite panels. The eastern façade became an architectural interpretation of the company’s logo, while the western façade was completely demolished and replaced with structural glass curtain walls.
The interior is centered around a double-height testing laboratory with a bypass gallery, featuring a suspended glass cube. The repair and mechanical workshop interiors are accentuated by a full-wall graphic panel and light-strand tubes passing through the perforated historic ceiling beams.
