Best Implemented Project of Public Building or Facility

About the project
D525 Barcelona was designed through the concept of sustainable renovation with the aim of reducing its environmental impact of use, extending its efficient useful life. The project integrates all the design and construction requirements to achieve LEED Gold certification and it relies on 5 main axes:
Natural light & pure air through the main façade´s large windows, defined by photocatalytic krion 3D modules that purify the air.
Eco-efficient & clean energy through the south façade´s photovoltaic louvers.
Green & native plant species are integrated into the roof to provide an extra insulation layer and mitigate the heat island effect.
Sustainability & building skin: a detailed study of the environment was made to design the project´s skin, improving its energy efficiency.
Developed & coordinated in BIM: the project was developed using the latest BIM cloud technology, generating a coordinated digital building that integrates all the different phases of the project.
