About the project (provided by the applicant)
The primary motivation for designing the Damon Villa was to create a space that seamlessly integrates with the natural and cultural environment of Mazandaran. This region, with its natural beauty and mild, humid climate, provides unique opportunities for sustainable design that aligns with nature.
From a cultural perspective, the deep connection of the inhabitants with nature and the traditional architectural practices of the area inspired the designers to create a design that encompasses both functionality and aesthetic appeal. The use of elevated stilts and roofed Ivans as solutions to address moisture and rainfall demonstrates respect for local principles and climatic needs.
Additionally, the breathtaking views of the sea and mountains encouraged the designers to craft living spaces that allow residents to easily enjoy these vistas. Large windows and semi-open spaces create a harmonious experience of living alongside nature, enhancing the sense of connection with the environment.
