The project involved the reconstruction of a former one-story store building into a community center for children, teenagers, and parents. Initially, the Creative Center worked with “at-risk” children and teenagers, but later redefined its mission — now it is an inclusive environment where children help each other and teachers work with diverse groups of students. Many graduates have become journalists and cultural figures who fondly remember the place where they were accepted and their potential was revealed.
Located among pine trees near a park, the concept drew inspiration from the idea of a “house in the forest” — a safe space for imagination and creativity. The usable area was expanded with glass greenhouses and an entrance group, blurring the boundary between interior and nature. In the evening, the building becomes a “beacon” attracting people. Colored stained-glass portals create playful lighting effects, while inside there are spaces for learning, sports, and creativity for children and parents. An art area in the signature color, with a wave-shaped pergola and amphitheater, is situated among the trees.
