Category
Best Implemented Project of a Temporary or Permanent Museum Exposition
About the project, provided by the applicant
The project title «Deus conservat omnia. The History of the Restoration of Ostankino Palace» refers to the motto of the Sheremetev family — «God preserves everything,» emphasizing the idea of preserving historical heritage. The Palace, which has retained its authentic interiors and theatre stage, becomes the key object of the exhibition.
The project aims to create a harmonious dialogue between the historical environment and modern exhibition solutions. The space represents a unique «encyclopedia» of 18th-century building craftsmanship: from unique wooden structures to artificial marble and gilded carving. The process of the palace's restoration is shown through authentic decorative elements, models, drawings, and interactive demonstrations.
The exposition is integrated into the historical space with attention to preserving the authentic atmosphere of the estate. The use of multimedia and tactile elements allows for independent immersion in the process of the palace's restoration.
