Project
Elements of Cluster Housing. Low-Rise Residential Cluster
Category
Best Project of Building or Facility by Student
About the project (provided by the applicant)
Cluster housing is an efficient solution for low-rise residential development, consisting of a series of connected houses with separate entrances and individual plots. The popularity of this housing type is due to its cost-effectiveness and flexible planning solutions. Considering the climatic and landscape features of Russia, cluster housing has significant potential.
The form-making in the project is achieved through architectural techniques of subtraction, truncation, and addition, allowing for diverse volumetric and spatial solutions. Cross-shaped arches forming a passage between two public zones not only provide physical connectivity but also serve as a compositional accent, integrating the low-rise residential area.
