Project
Wall Panel “Dragon and Phoenix”
Category
Best Implemented Façade or Interior Project Using Ceramics
About the project (provided by the applicant)
The round panel, 1800 mm in diameter, is executed in high relief and depicts a Phoenix and a Dragon facing each other, symbolizing Russia and China, yin and yang. The central circle is framed by a dynamic, seemingly flying composition with symbols of the four elements. The sense of swirling motion around the center is created through smooth, curved relief lines and accent blue inserts of glaze and enamel, which glow against the metallic background treated with platinum. The panel “Dragon and Phoenix” captivates with its extraordinary level of detail: each scale and feather is clearly visible. A craquelure effect adds texture, volume, and realism to the piece.
