About the project
The building of the Dubrava kindergarten evokes associations with surrounding nature, changeable and bright. The simplicity of its structure is hidden behind the dynamic, winding band of thin slats, covering the 1st and the 2nd floor, and contrasting mosaic inserts. The yellow-green and purple at the lower level refer to Russia’s meadows and fields. Large windows, some of which are round, let in a lot of sunlight. The round windows also allude to space and underwater travel. The architectural concept of the building is aimed at creating a positive environment for children.
The ground and the 1st floors of the building comprise classrooms, administration offices and utility rooms. On the 2nd floor, there are halls for music and PE lessons.
