Project
Landscaping of Dzerzhinsky Square (Volgograd)

Category
Best Landscape Architecture Project

About the project
The project includes conversion of an existing parking lot into a public space. The building in front of it used to be the administration building of a former tractor plant. Today, it is a mixed-use complex with apartments and first-floor retail space. The project transforms the central entrance to the building into a colonnaded walkway designed to replicate a typical factory portico. There will be a summer cafe terrace with two external stairs on its roof. The square will be converted into two terraced spaces with benches to be used for social and cultural events.
