Italian architect Maurizio D’Orsa developed a spatial layout for a family couple immersed in design and art.
The project uses a distinctive expressive style— a contemporary interpretation of classical design with contrasts and objects from different eras, each with a strong sensory impact.
The project emotionally engages the clients and fully reveals both the apartment itself and its interior space. The apartment is located on one of the upper floors of a building in the Petrogradsky District of Saint Petersburg, historically situated on the site of a former bread factory.
Theatricality, combinations of colors, textures, and fabrics, and the careful selection of proportions and materials for each design element are key directions in this work. The project evolves as a continuous dialogue, with the clients as active participants in all key decisions. Maurizio revealed the potential of the space and created a unique atmosphere precisely tailored to the stated requirements.
