Concept of Park Development in the Aviation Town

About the project (provided by the applicant)
The development of a park complex on the territory of the Aviation Town is one of the key tasks of the Government of the Saratov Region. Today this territory is abandoned. The great history of the unique closed Engels-1 air base town is fading away, as there is no one to maintain and develop it. Residents strive to revive the town, offering diverse ideas. Many buildings are in disrepair and have already been demolished. In their place, we decided to design a large park in Engels — “Lyotka.”
The main idea is to revive the history of the town and show how the air base employees and cadets of the flight school lived. We preserved monuments, streets, and even the foundations of demolished buildings, thus creating a memorial layer. We also added a variety of plants and collaborated with the church to plant 67 birches in memory of 67 fallen pilots — all of this forming a new “forest” green framework of the park.
The project contains many references to aviation, which makes our park an open-air encyclopedia.
