The aim of the project is to create a multifunctional cultural space through the restoration and renovation of the interiors of a historic building while preserving its identity. The mansion at 16 Dvortsovaya Embankment is a residential, multi-apartment building under state protection as a historical and cultural monument, which imposes specific restrictions on the design solutions.
All interventions within the reconstruction of the English Club interiors follow the principle of preserving the architectural appearance. Some of the halls have retained their original architectural decorative elements. Special attention is given to the wall design — stucco molding and mirrored panels not only preserve the spirit of the era but also enhance the spatial depth and layering. The project integrates architecture, design, restoration, and cultural event planning, reflecting contemporary approaches to designing historical spaces.
