Project
Design project of an art and exhibition space
Category
Best Project of Public Space by Student
About the project (provided by the applicant)
The project was developed for the territory of the former Central Design Bureau of Mechanical Engineering. The architecture of the existing building conveys monumentality, which is balanced with airiness and lightness thanks to its volumes.
The art and exhibition space is organized as a multifunctional complex with the following zones:
• Exhibition Hall (2,300 m²) — the central core of the project for large-scale exhibitions and installations
• Lecture Zone (155 m²) — space for educational events
• Coworking Space (155 m²) — a flexible working area for creative meetings and collaboration
• Cloakroom (70 m²) and Ticket Hall (17 m²) — auxiliary spaces for visitor comfort
The relevance of the project is driven by the importance of cultural development for contemporary society.
The concept of the multifunctional exhibition center allows for events of various scales: exhibitions, forums, lectures, and training sessions.
