About the project (provided by the applicant)
A one-story brick house with a skylight, a living tree growing at the center of the space, panoramic windows, and shutters that protect the living room from bad weather and prying eyes.
The house stands on a hill, at the highest point, with only the forest above. Surrounded by nature, the house appears as a brick fortress. Shutters on panoramic energy-efficient windows slide closed, creating a sense of complete safety, while still allowing sunlight to enter, filling the home with a stunning play of light and shadow. At the heart of the house is an atrium with a plant — another link between architecture and nature.
The atrium rises upward, reaching for light and air. Interior finishes include brick, wood, and glass. Natural materials and shades dominate the interior design. High ceilings and panoramic glazing create a sense of comfort and freedom, while maintaining a feeling of safety.
Brick on the exterior is contrasted by nature within.

MYS-DESIGN
Mys is a Swedish term that describes a state of comfort and relaxation. Its literal translation is “coziness.”
We build houses, design interiors, create decor and clothing — everything for a comfortable and high-quality life in one place. Minimalism and clarity of lines in our work allow you to add your own unique coziness to the spaces we create. Our design code is based on the works of the icons of Swedish design and architecture.
