About the project
Grounds around the Sloterdijk station are rapidly developing. The designed Floating Gardens will become a space juxtaposing living in a small community and life in a metropolitan city, lots of green plants and a dynamic urban environment. A school will be topped by a section with 190 flats.
Located at a green area, the building has a flat greened roofing and is specially integrated into the environment. An extensive projecting part of the building on the side of the school entrance will be a park lobby. The public sitting room in the very heart of the building is intended for socializing.
