Flux Apartment Building on the Ekateringofka River Embankment

About the project (provided by the applicant)
The volumetric and spatial solution of the building is defined by its context: the site adjoins the confluence of the Fontanka and the Ekateringofka rivers. The curved floor plan not only creates an unconventional image in line with the existing conditions, but also forms a development front that protects against prevailing winds, while allowing the design of green areas adjacent to the pedestrian route along the embankment.
The composition is crowned by a high-rise accent section with cantilevered terraces facing the Gulf of Finland. The facade features numerous panoramic balconies offering views of the water. These balconies, connected by a curvilinear horizontal form, create a unified dynamic system that echoes the water theme of the complex. The monotony of the facade is broken by vertical elements that emphasize the stair and elevator cores.
