Best Implemented Capital Construction Project in St. Petersburg
About the project (provided by the applicant) Futurist is so much more than just a large-scale residential development in St. Petersburg. Thanks to it, a listed cultural facility was redeveloped. All the late adjoining buildings were removed at the site of the Levashov bread factory to establish a public cultural and business hub.
Buildings within the development are 3 to 9 storey high, and all of them are freely accessible thanks to the open beautified premises. The style solutions were inspired by the top examples of the world’s architecture dating back to the 1930s. The stair-like layout and glass connection of the buildings feature traces of Post-Constructivist architecture, whereas exposed concrete elements along with rye bundles and ears of wheat offer references to art deco and bread genius loci.
