Garden Center

About the project (provided by the applicant)
The Garden Center on Koltsovsky Tract in Yekaterinburg creates a new point of attraction on the city’s main entrance highway. The complex is designed not only for gardeners and motorists passing along the tract, but also for residents of nearby neighborhoods — providing an important public space much needed by the existing and future microdistrict. Visitors can purchase plants and gardening materials, spend time at exhibitions, studios, or pavilions, and enjoy the restaurant by the water or the open area for walks and events.
The project is based on low-rise buildings composed of individual houses with pitched roofs, panoramic windows, and varied façade patterns. These volumes are unified into a continuous gallery that can be walked through, offering changing experiences along the way. A small pond with landscaped park space within the center becomes part of the public core. This creates a diverse environment equally suitable for commerce, leisure, and social interaction.
