The project team was recognized as the winner of the VDNKh “Golden Ear 2025” competition for the development of VDNKh territories. The competition theme was “Best Project for the Reconstruction of Historical Pavilions of VDNKh.”
The project reinterprets and carefully recreates the «Glavpivo» pavilion at VDNKh, preserving its historical identity and architectural expressiveness. Characteristic elements have been restored: terraced structure, trellises, decorative elements, typographic and sculptural compositions. The developed underground space expands functionality, housing a mini-brewery, the «Kolos» bar, an exhibition area, and a transformable hall. Design motifs of the wheat ear, symbolizing VDNKh, are incorporated throughout. Spaces are designed for diverse scenarios, from tastings and lectures to exhibitions and parties. The pavilion is organically integrated into its surroundings, with the architectural theme of the façade extended to a nearby café and the existing pier preserved. The project balances respect for the past with comfort, openness, and accessibility for all.
