Grow Together

About the project
Our concept is rooted in the idea that education inspires growth.
The last decade has seen some dark days in the region's history and we strove to create a bright and inspiring space where students can focus on their development and the future. The quality of space enables children and parents to study alongside one another, nurturing a greater sense of togetherness. It was also important to us to create a space that makes use of the area's natural resources. This allows the construction process to support local businesses, to encourage community engagement and to be more sustainable.
Locally-sourced materials, sustainability and flexibility of space play a huge role in the narrative of our design. This highly user-friendly space plays with the typical ‘indoor-outdoor’ narrative and enhances the natural beauty of its surroundings.
The central space was very much designed with ‘community’ at its heart. Here, an open-air amphitheatre onto which the adjacent classrooms.
