Project
Residential development at Gryazny Island (St. Petersburg)

Nomination
Best Architectural Project by a Student

About the project
In the center of the site there is Gryazny Island of 11 hectares, surrounded by the Olkhovka River. The basic idea was to keep the site as unchanged as possible – to retain the existing public center and water tower, featuring the spirit of this place.

The composition layout mainly comprises multisectional P-shaped houses in the north ad the west, and along the street in the east paired tower-like houses are designed. The southern part of the site will support business premises. In the center of the isle, there will be a school for 600 students and a kindergarten for 150 kids. The embankment will be beautified and become a promenade.
