The project reflects on the importance of education for the growth of children and the nation’s future, inspired by the verse “It is necessary to nurture the seedling so that life may give us flowers and fruit,” from Coração de Estudante by Milton Nascimento. Conceived as a poetic journey in three acts, it reveals meaning and beauty at each stage:
Act 1 – Seeds: A contemporary intervention on the heritage façade of the Instituto de Educação blends tradition and modernity. Perforated metal panels reimagine architectural elements like columns and windows with varying transparency, creating a dynamic kinetic façade animated by the wind, harmoniously merging past and present.
Act 2 – Seedling: Metal becomes poetry, forming cubes that symbolize the «Seedling»: purity, youth, and the future’s promise. Germinating seeds embody hope and renewal.
Act 3 – Flower and Fruit: The cube transforms into a vertical sculpture—"Flower and Fruit." Musical reinterpretation inspires rhythmic perforations, s
