About the project (provided by the applicant)
“Heart of Siberia” is an object symbolizing Novosibirsk as a hub through which numerous routes pass, like blood vessels. It recalls the essence of the city: a transit point for the Trans-Siberian Railway, business projects, and much more.

The lower part of the object—the base and the wings—symbolizes ambitious people and rapid growth. In profile, the structure resembles a railway, while the front truss of the bridge is a recognizable symbol.

The central part (the heart) accumulates development potential and past experience. The side structures reflect the result of rapid and uneven development, which is characteristic of the object itself with its unconventional proportions. The upper wing resembles branches and symbolizes the natural wealth of the region.

Initially, the object was conceived as an emblem, a sign representing the essence and cultural code of the city. To achieve maximum monumentality, the only possible way was chosen: to create a small element and enlarge it to the maximum permissible dimensions.
