The main feature of the site is its direct proximity to the river and the stunning view, which became the foundation for the design. Our task was to ensure that the person living here could fully experience the context. This gave rise to the idea of the House with a Bridge — a bridge that allows interaction with the space and enjoyment of the river, rather than overcoming it.
The small plot is divided into strips along the river: an orchard, a light horizontal house (maximizing views), a terrace with a swimming pool, and a Mediterranean-style mini-park on the terrain (for both vistas and privacy). The rhythm of the treetops resonates with the house. The horizontality is accentuated by a spiral staircase.
The home is designed for hospitable owners: the first floor is common (hall, two-level living room: fireplace/bar/dining area above; lounge/library below, dark SPA); the second floor is private (bedrooms, studies), connected by a “floating” bridge above the living room. A through-window captures the moving ray of the sun. An outdoor bridge leads to a lounge area with a fire bowl for evening gatherings by the fire.
