About the project (provided by the applicant)
We scrutinize the idea of a public space that comes to our foreground, so when you enter it, you can recognize you are in a public realm like the Colosseum or Spanish steps; they come to our foreground because of their formal capacities. With that premise in mind, we conceptualize a formal strategy for this project so that the bridges, stairs, and the main object can impact each other simultaneously; their relationship is organized in a way that each of those pieces has its own identity and at the same time they can be seen as a single entity or a complete whole. This project conceptualizes two important ideas: the figure-ground relationship and the hierarchy and rhythm of how one enters the project.
