Jalan Sejarah

Nomination
Best Project of Private Residence

About the project
Nestled beside a nature reserve in Singapore, studioMilou’s the Jalan Sejarah private residence creates a home that celebrates the heights of tropical landscapes as they reach ever higher for light and life. While the light-filled interiors look onto dense foliage by day, by night, the house resembles a warm lantern within a jungle.
Metallic screens providing security and allowing a maximum of natural light surround this inter-generational home, whose expansive interiors have been designed to create a unified colour and material schemes, inspired by the natural crafts and landscapes of Southeast Asia.
