Project
James Beck Workhouse Development

Category
Best Implemented Project of Residential Estate

About the project
The new development at the Petrogradskaya Embankment is a high-level business-class project to come to life at a site with great history and extensive amenities, within walking distance of Neva and the Botanic Garden.
The development is named after James Beck, an English merchant, who founded a cotton mill. The monumental building of the mill designed by Fedor Miller and Yuly Benois  is one of the most beautiful pieces of industrial architecture in that district.
Paying tribute to the past and the existing context, the architects designed a modern concept yet referring to the manufacturing architecture of the early 20th century. Brick facades of the new development organically match the historical background.
